App Store Keyword Opportunities
Turn one seed keyword into a list of phrases worth targeting by combining what the App Store suggests with who already ranks for it.
Privacy and cost
This tool uses paid live data. A run costs 10 credits, only charged when it succeeds. Recent identical requests are served from a cache, which keeps costs and prices low.
No subscription required for credits.
How it works
- Enter a keyword, a country and, optionally, your app; choose the expansion depth (1 or 2).
- The tool collects autocomplete suggestions, then queries App Store search for each phrase and notes who ranks in the top 10.
- Each row shows its source (autocomplete suggestion, store ranking), the share of competitor titles containing the phrase, how strong the leaders are and an opportunity score.
Example
The keyword "meditation" in the US storefront returns phrases Apple suggests (such as "meditation timer"), each with the first three apps that come up, the percentage of top-10 titles containing it and a score out of 100; your app, if provided, shows its rank.
What the result means
No volume is shown: neither Apple nor Google publishes any. The opportunity score blends three verifiable clues: the phrase's position in autocomplete (40%), how few top-10 titles already contain the whole phrase (35%) and how weak the leaders are by rating count (25%). It helps prioritise; it does not forecast traffic.
Common problems this tool helps with
- Choosing which phrases go in the title, subtitle and keyword field without guessing.
- Avoiding phrases already saturated with competitor titles and dominated by big players.
- Discovering long-tail variants suggested by the store itself.
- Knowing where your app already ranks for each phrase.
Frequently asked questions
Where are the search volumes?
There are none: neither Apple nor Google publishes them. A tool that shows them invents or extrapolates. Here every row states whether it comes from autocomplete or ranking.
What does a high opportunity score mean?
The phrase is suggested by the store, few top-10 titles contain it in full and the leaders have few ratings. It is a priority hint, not a ranking guarantee.
How many credits does a report cost?
The cost is shown on the page and only charged when the report succeeds; results are cached for a few hours.
