Multi-Country App Store Keywords

See at a glance how a keyword behaves across countries: what the App Store suggests locally and who dominates each storefront.

Privacy and cost

This tool uses paid live data. A run costs 15 credits, only charged when it succeeds. Recent identical requests are served from a cache, which keeps costs and prices low.

No subscription required for credits.

How it works

  1. Enter a keyword and 2 to 5 country codes (for example fr, be, ca).
  2. The tool reads each storefront's autocomplete with its X-Apple-Store-Front header, then checks the search results of the suggested phrases.
  3. You get a phrase x country matrix: autocomplete position, #1 app and how many countries suggest the phrase.

Example

The keyword "photo" on the fr, be and ca storefronts: the table shows which phrases Apple suggests in each country, at which position, and which app tops local search.

What the result means

Each cell is an autocomplete position (#1 = first suggestion), so a hint of local popularity, not a volume. "ranking only" flags a phrase the store does not suggest in that country but whose results we checked. Storefronts do not all share a language: compare with care.

Common problems this tool helps with

  • Launching an app in a new country without guessing the local vocabulary.
  • Seeing whether a phrase is suggested everywhere or in one market only.
  • Spotting which apps dominate each storefront for the same keyword.
  • Deciding which languages to localize the title and keywords into.

Frequently asked questions

How many countries can I compare?

2 to 5 per report. Each country adds several searches, hence the credit cost.

Why are some cells empty?

The phrase was neither suggested nor analysed in that country in this report.

Are these positions volumes?

No, autocomplete order is only a popularity hint. Apple publishes no volume.
