ASO Competitor Comparison

Put 2 to 5 apps side by side to see who writes what in their title, who is rated highest, lightest and most recently updated.

Privacy and cost

This tool runs a live check on our servers. Free accounts get 3 live checks per day in total across all such tools. We keep your report in your account so you can delete it any time.

How it works

  1. Choose the store and country, then paste 2 to 5 URLs, ids or package names, one per line.
  2. The tool fetches each public listing and computes lengths, rating, size and days since the last update.
  3. It then compares title and subtitle words: shared terms, terms unique to one app and similarity between pairs.

Example

Compare three meditation apps in the US storefront: a table shows each title's length, rating and rating count, size in MB and days since the last update, plus the words several titles have in common.

What the result means

The comparison covers public metadata. Overlap shows which words competitors put in their title, not whether they rank for them; it says nothing about traffic. On the App Store the subtitle is not in the public API, so only the title is compared.

Common problems this tool helps with

  • Seeing whether competitors fill their title (30 characters on iOS) better than you do.
  • Spotting words every competitor uses (table stakes) and words nobody uses.
  • Comparing freshness: an app not updated for months is easier to overtake.
  • Setting rating and size side by side within one niche.

Frequently asked questions

Can I compare an iOS app and an Android app?

Yes, paste URLs from both stores: each URL tells the tool its store. Fields a store lacks (such as Apple's subtitle) stay empty.

What does similarity between two apps mean?

It is the share of words their titles and subtitles have in common, out of all distinct words used by the two.

Does it compare rankings?

No. To see who ranks for which phrases, use the competitor keyword gap.
