App Store Metadata Validator
Fill in every App Store listing field in one place: each limit is checked and repeats across fields are flagged.
Privacy and cost
This tool runs in your browser. What you type or paste is not sent to our servers and it costs nothing to use.
How it works
- Enter the name, subtitle, keyword field, promotional text, description and what's new you want to check.
- Each field is compared with the official App Store Connect limit (30, 30, 100 bytes, 170, 4,000 and 4,000).
- Cross-checks are added: words repeated between name, subtitle and keywords, and an over-repetitive description.
Example
PulseFit listing: name 23/30, subtitle 25/30, keywords 77/100 bytes, promotional text 83/170, description 487/4,000. No blocking problem and 3 things to improve: spaces after commas, "workout" already in the name and "cardio" already in the subtitle.
What the result means
A problem (red) is a limit that the store refuses. A point to improve is good practice: wasted space, risky wording, repetition. The check is about the text; it says nothing about search volume or how your app ranks.
Common problems this tool helps with
- A field over its limit is refused when you save it in App Store Connect.
- A subtitle that repeats the name wastes one of the two most visible fields of the listing.
- Keywords identical to the name or subtitle take up bytes without adding a word.
- A description that repeats the same word 6 times or more can look like keyword stuffing.
Frequently asked questions

Does this replace a subtitle checker?
Yes: the subtitle is checked here together with the name and keywords, including repeats with the name.
Can I change promotional text without updating the app?

Does my text leave my browser?
No. The whole analysis runs locally and nothing is sent to our servers.
