Referring Domains Checker

Enter a domain to get the list of sites that link to it, strongest first, with the number of links and quality indicators for each.

Temporarily unavailable

This tool depends on an external data provider that is not connected right now. Nothing is charged. Please try again later.

Privacy and cost

This tool uses paid live data. A run costs 10 credits, only charged when it succeeds. Recent identical requests are served from a cache, which keeps costs and prices low.

No subscription required for credits.

How it works

  1. Enter the domain and the number of rows (25, 50 or 100).
  2. The tool queries the provider's backlink index and groups links by referring domain.
  3. The table ranks domains by rank and shows links, linking pages, spam score and first-seen date; the CSV export holds it all.

Example

Domain "example.com", 50 rows: you see the total number of referring domains then the 50 strongest, each with the number of links it sends you.

What the result means

The number of different domains linking to you often matters more than the raw number of links. Rank is the provider's 0-1000 score, not a Google metric. A high spam score is a reason to check the link by hand, not proof of a penalty. The provider's index does not record every link on the web.

Common problems this tool helps with

  • Assessing the diversity and quality of the sites that cite you.
  • Spotting questionable referring domains to review.
  • Comparing your referring domain count with competitors'.

Frequently asked questions

Why count domains and not only links?

A hundred links from one site weigh less than links from many different sites: diversity is a better indicator.

Is the list complete?

It is limited to the strongest domains (25, 50 or 100); the total known to the provider is shown above.

Where does the data come from?

From DataForSEO's backlink index. Complete it with Google Search Console to see what Google records.
