LocalBusiness Schema Generator

Pick the business type, enter address, coordinates and hours: the LocalBusiness JSON-LD builds live and checks itself.

Privacy and cost

This tool runs in your browser. What you type or paste is not sent to our servers and it costs nothing to use.

How it works

  1. Select the most specific subtype (Restaurant, Dentist, Store, Plumber…) then enter name, address and phone exactly as shown on your site.
  2. Optionally add latitude and longitude, then your hours: one row per time slot, with the days ticked and times in 24-hour format.
  3. Copy the code into the business's page and read the self-check (complete address, valid times, plausible coordinates).

Example

The fictional restaurant "Example Kitchen": Restaurant subtype, full address, coordinates 39.7817 / -89.6501 and two slots (Monday-Friday 11:30-22:00, Saturday-Sunday 10:00-23:00). The self-check shows 0 errors and 0 warnings.

What the result means

LocalBusiness describes a physical business: Google requires the name and address and recommends phone, URL, image, coordinates and opening hours. These details must match the page and your Google Business Profile. No rating is generated: reviews a business writes about itself are considered self-serving by Google.

Common problems this tool helps with

  • Name, address or phone that differ between the site, the markup and the Google Business Profile.
  • Opening hours in the wrong format ("9am", "9h") instead of 09:00.
  • A generic type when a precise subtype exists.
  • Swapped or out-of-range GPS coordinates (latitude beyond ±90).

Frequently asked questions

Should I add customer reviews to the markup?

Not with this tool. Ratings or reviews a business publishes about itself are not eligible for rich results according to Google. Only mark up genuine third-party reviews, separately, and only if they are visible on the page.

How do I enter different hours on different days?

Add one row per time slot: tick the days it covers and enter opening and closing times as HH:MM. A business open Monday-Friday with different weekend hours uses two rows.

Is this markup enough for local SEO?

No. It helps describe the business, but your Google Business Profile, consistent contact details and local content weigh more. The markup guarantees no display.
